"Ye Must exist Born Again"

Did any of you follow Moody Bible Institute's  113th annual Founder'south Week?  The theme of the calendar week was "Holiness" and the last speaker of the event was Pastor Jim Cymbala of Brooklyn Tabernacle.  He powerfully emphasized that the Gospel of Jesus Christ needs to be the virtually important priority of a Christian's service.  As teachers, we should strive to make certain some aspect of the Gospel is presented each calendar week.  Let's take advantage of the time with our kids to clearly present the Gospel and magnify Jesus our LORD and God! "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.." (Colossians ii:ix)  Jude declares that we must "contend earnestly for the religion which was once for all delivered to the saints…" .  No other fashion…no other Proper name whereby we may be saved…no other revelation!!! But that has not stopped "sure men (or women) from creeping in unnoticed to try and entice us and our kids away from the Truth. Pray for understanding and ready your hearts by asking the Holy Spirit to convict and cleanse us from sin then nosotros are suitable , holy vessels and His power tin flow through united states of america.  Delight don't wait until Saturday nighttime to gear up your lesson…or fifty-fifty worse…Sunday morning!!!  He desires our best efforts, our best forcefulness and devotion our best reflection and creativity.

Nick at Night

Nick at Night

The focus on this lesson is Nicodemus and his exposure to the glorious Gospel in John 3.  The figures should be cut out and glued on blackness card stock or construction paper.  Every child should memorize John 3:sixteen and then have them write or print it on their papers. Optional: a small "prize" for knowing the verse correctly…even if information technology is just a simple folio of golden or argent stars, would add to the feel.  To  further explore  this lesson see my previous postal service on 8/27/2011  "Nick at Dark".

Since the kids will be writing the verse on black paper, you lot will need to experiment to see what will show up.  Vivid colors of gel pens piece of work well, so exercise silver or golden.  If you only have a pencil…this volition too piece of work.  Also, there is no demand to equip each child with their ain every bit sharing is encouraged!

Nicodemus, a religious instructor  and leader in Israel, has seen the mighty works of Jesus and came to Him one night with questions.  The Jews had been re-gathered after the Babylonian exile.  Their spiritual cleansing and transformation was existence overseen by his affiliates…just they were all waiting for a triumphant Messiah, who would lead their nation into preeminence  and glory.  The Jews of this day believed that God would condemn the Gentile for his sin, but save the Jew despite his sin because they followed the Law.  Jesus came to show the Jew that "…by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His (God's) sight, for past the law is the knowledge of sin"…  in other words, it did not take the power to transform their sin natures.  He told Nicodemus " You must exist built-in – once again".

Nosotros tin can merely be born-over again and  receive  the required righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ…. a radical conversion by the Spirit of God.  Nicodemus conspicuously does not understand the truth about the new nascence.  Jesus goes on to quote  what is to become the most famous verse in the Bible and is found in John 3:sixteen.  Belief in Jesus is more than awareness or agreement of facts .  Information technology is a willingness to surrender my whole being to the truth that Jesus came to die and shed His Blood to atone for my sin, of which I am sorry for, and am willing to forsake.  This is what God requires for me to exist forgiven and to exist adopted into His family…the only WAY that is provided. Jesus besides proved His claim to exist God  by resurrecting from the grave.  A way you tin explicate this to kids is by pointing to chair in the room and stating, " I tin can believe yonder piece of piece of furniture is indeed a chair…but until  put my full weight in it and trust that it will agree me, does information technology do me any expert."
